March 23, 2013 Saturday

Greetings Friends, Family, POCs, Supporters and SOA Watch,

It’s been ten days now from reading my statement at the Federal Court House on March 13, 2013 at 10:00am along with my AMFC Church Members, past POCs, supporters and that the SOA Watch folks are present with me in the court room. We stand together confronting Judge Hyles and his supporters alike.

Judge Hoyles was sitting 3.3 feet away from me to the right. He helped me with the names of dictators that I couldn’t pronounce while this unfolding statement continued in the court room. Now the story is told in this Federal County jail pod. Some people here have their own statements to read in front of another Federal Judge.

This man I got to know is facing 15 years to life for drugs and for arms. The Federal Task Force Marshalls broke down his door and slammed his face into the floor and continued to search his apartment where his wife wasn’t living. They formed the evidence. Now off to jail, where he is staying now.

The Judge said to him and the prosecutor what’s hard about this man’s case, drugs and fire arms! (A bad time for this man in gun control times). He’s guilty.

Little did the judge know this was the day he was going to stop this life style, which he told his wife as well the day before his arrest. Stopping everything and straightening out his life. If only he had one more day and one least snitch that told on him, all this would of not have happened, but it did!

His wife at home and his two beautiful little kids, one boy in pre-K and one girl in Second grade.

This man has been to prison once before for seven years, and now he has two more felonies to make him now an habitual criminal that’s facing 15 years max. He will maybe be paroled at the age 63 and he is now 48 years of age.

I watch him each day and sit with him and eat along with others facing years , as well. There’s sadness within these walls for sure…

My thoughts drift from that to this… Why am I here? I remember getting an email about 2 or 3 weeks before my trail date March 13, 2013 that the prosecutor Captain West suggested to my lawyer that if I’d pleaded guilty, I could “maybe” just do 2 months in Federal Prison. This was quite tempting. But I thought, if I plead guilty, the very statement message I carry each year “Study War No More” wouldn’t be true. It would be a lie. This wasn’t about just climbing over a fence that Ft. Benning only puts up once a year just for three days in November at our SOA Protest, then is taken down so that now the public is now free to come and go to do business.

This goes deeper then myself and ourselves, as well. It goes so deep that Ft. Benning changed the name from “The School of the Americas” to the School of “The Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation.” This WHINSEC or insect is trained to cover up its old name SOA to its new name WHINSEC which hides its tracks as if the genocides didn’t happen.

The Generals or any ranking office that’s trained, seems to recruit soldiers. Battalions that have no morals in a loving family “life”. And if they did because only they were so poor in poverty, they wouldn’t help but take the job. Not knowing that was the next step! We’ll never know their thoughts of what they went through. Soldiers were recruited and trained from family loving “life” to the same SOA manuals that create and bring fear, war time poverty, bombardment, corruption, night and day raids in the time of day that doesn’t matter because Generals and soldiers have a license to kill, rape, displace, even bury whole communities small or large in unmarked graves without a trace.

Hundreds of witnesses have seen the torture, the killings. The people try to tell them their stories to officials or police, but there’s no trust in that department. Being a witness, one’s family members might not come home again “ever” for telling the officials they have seen the torture and the murders.

So communities are left to grieve with sadness and just live with it till “you” or “I” make a commitment to “close it down” in solidarity against the SOA/WHINSEC and spread the news and watch! I believe this sorrow of death penetrates all of our very human lives that trickles down the from the White House, through the Department of Defense, through our politicians, lobbyists, multinational Corporations of greed that filters into our own blindness so Americans don’t see or know the difference between free trade and fair trade.

Every piece of clothing made in Latin America and Coca Cola’s has blood attached to it in Colombia, South America. The soda tastes great, the clothing fits fine and slowly this corruption is seeking into our children and gun control that Newtown, CT is now experiencing what the SOA/WHINSEC is doing in Latin America and violence doesn’t end here. It continues in the 702 US Military bases that our tax payers have no idea why murder, rape, robbing, drugs, children that kill children, and where gangs come from. This problem is so interwoven like bamboo roots that you can’t get rid of it, but only comes up in shoots when you’re not looking.

Our towns, cities, states, countries around the globe are having the same problems.

Our money that says “In God We Trust”, the land of the free…?

Wake up American people to Romans 7:14:25 (Good news translation bible) or say 3 holy Mary’s and 10 our Fathers and light 6 billion candles and go about your business…

A man named Peter wrote to me and said “He came across Robert Kennedy’s statement” made during his visit to South Africa in 1966:

Each time someone stands up for an ideal or acts to improve the lot of others or strike out against injustice, they send forth a tiny ripple of hope and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current which can bring down the mightiest walls of oppression and injustice.

Sincerely yours,

Nashua Chantal POC

P.S.

People ask me to keep a journal. But instead my journals are the letters I write to people, that write me. I try to answer everyone. Maybe these people can start an online journal with my letters. The can send them to my or soaw.org journal of your own or facebook so that my friends, family can read them. Any ideas
