SOA Amendment to Defense Authorization May 2008 |

On May 22, 2008, the House of Representatives debated and voted on the McGovern-Sestak-Bishop (GA) amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2009. This amendment requires the public release of names, rank, country of origin, dates and courses attended at the SOA/ WHINSEC. Click here to print a PDF version of the text of the amendment.
The amendment passed overwhelmingly by a 220 - 189 vote and was supported by Chairman of the House Armed Services Commitee, Ike Skelton.
