Our Challenge: Raise $1500 in 15 days! Print
Have you heard?

An anonymous donor is helping SOA Watch jumpstart the next six months with a challenge to raise at least $1500 by August 15, 2011 to support SOA Watch’s work. Any gift up to $100 will be matched, dollar for dollar, doubling the impact of your support. Watch your support go twice as far, twice as fast! Help us put an end to US militarization and oppression in the Americas and around the world. Can you help us CLOSE THE SOA with a gift of $15 or more?

Answer the call today!

2011 has been an incredible year for the movement, but there’s still so much to do. As of this week 62 members (and growing!) of Congress have signed onto a letter to President Obama calling for the immediate closure of the School of the Americas. We’ll put that letter into the President’s hands in late August and demand that President Obama close the SOA/WHINSEC by executive order. Help us keep up this incredible momentum with a recurring gift of $15 today!

As you know, we are gearing up for the November 2011 Vigil at Ft. Benning, in Columbus, Georgia. SOA Watch has joined hands with our allies and partner organizations to speak out for immigrant rights because we recognize the SOA and unjust immigration policies as being parts of the same racist system of violence and domination. At this year’s vigil we’ll stand in solidarity with our immigrant brothers and sisters and call for an end to the SOA-led repression that forces so many of our friends from their homes.

Please, consider a gift of $15, $45, $75, or $100 today, and help us speak truth to power at the gates of the SOA in November. Remember your gift is doubled through August 15, so $75 becomes $150 and $100 jumps to $200! Take advantage of this opportunity to visit the SOA Watch at www.soaw.org/match and meet the $1500 challenge!

Siempre en solidaridad,
