Direct Action and Panel Discussion
Guantanamo: 11 Years Later

7:30pm at Barry University

Please join us for a political action and panel discussion on how and why the Guantanamo Bay military detention center is still operational eleven years later, as part of the 11th National Day of Action Against Guantanamo.

The Direct Action will occur on the morning of January 11th
Beginning at 7am at NW 87thAve & 36th Street. At about 8:30, we will march to the gates of the Southern Command. (Orange jumpsuits will be provided.)

The Panel Discussion will be held at Barry University, Cor Jesu Chapel at 11300 NE 2nd Avenue, Miami Shores, FL 33161

Michael Ratner (President Emeritus, Center for Constitutional Rights and Former President of the National Lawyers Guild)
Medea Benjamin (Co-founder, Code Pink)
Bill Quigley (Pax Christi, Professor and Director of the Law Clinic and Gillis Long Poverty Law Center, Loyola University School of Law)
Speaker from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)
Moderated by Dr. Laura Finley (Sociology Professor, Barry University)
