Steve Woolford and Lenore Yarger
Steve Woolford and Lenore Yarger at Silk Hope Catholic Worker House
Steve and his partner Leonore Yarger are the founders of the Silk Hope Catholic Worker House, a pacifist house of hospitality in North Carolina. In 2003, Steve and fellow Catholic Worker activists Steve Baggerly and Bill Frankel-Streit poured their own blood on the Pentagon, an action that landed them in front of U.S. District Court Judge Theresa Buchanan. A relative of conservative pundit Pat Buchanan, the judge gave the three men maximum six-month sentences without parole for violating a federal "preservation of property" statute, a misdemeanor.

Steve has produced a variety of graphic illustrations for the "Southern Radical," a Catholic Worker newspaper and also contributed his art to Presente.
