When I come up with something remotely resembling "Pearls" humor, I am called a sick bastard, yet you have achieved great accolades for this same twisted view of the world. Whatever the rationale, "Pearls" is the only funny strip in the funnies. Keep up the good work, you sick bastard.

I don't always love your comics (but I always read them). The offering of 07/25/10 was exceptionally good, in fact, profound.

"Pearls" is the best strip in the paper by far. You are an amazing cartoonist.

Hi Mr. Pastis!!! My best friend drew me this really funny looking unicorn and it's not girly or anything. I was wondering where I should mail it to so you can see if you would like to make up a funny strip from it!!! I really think you'll like it and if you don't want to add it to one of your strips, that's fine too!! Please try to get back to me on this!!! Let me know if you would like to check it out! Thanks a bunch!!

Brilliant!
written by Jason mclean, May 04, 2012
You, my friend , are nearly as brilliant as I . I've dreamed of the "don't tell me what to do" bumper sticker for years . As in "don't tell me what kind of day to have!" the nerve of people, to have the (atrophied) balls to believe they have the answers. Incredible. Anyway, keep up the good twisted work. Funny shit, bro!

Usually great stuff but lose the gators. That storyline is just not funny.

Thank you for all your efforts. This morning's strip regarding the "lock" of hair really brought a smile to my face. You have a marvelous touch for self deprecation. Please keep up the good work.

I love your comics! You should write more with the Alligators, though. Those are the freaking best! c:
