La Lucha Sigue! Convergence of Hope and Resistance at Fort Benning, November 22-24
November 22-24, 2013. Where will you be?
Join thousands of teachers, farmers, students, unionists, queer folk, environmentalists - revolutionaries all of us! - as we converge at the gates of the School of the Americas (SOA; also known as the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation, WHINSEC), where we continue to reaffirm life and our creativity in the face of Empire.
This year, we have launched a new website dedicated to the November Vigil at Fort Benning! It is designed to be user-friendly and help you to quickly access information related to the upcoming vigil and conference. Some of the things you will find are:
Bring your flags, your banners, your voice, your schools, your communities. Last year, two more countries in Latin America - Ecuador and Nicaragua - joined Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia and Venezuela in pulling out of the infamous "school". This past April, in DC, we flooded Congressional offices and did creative actions calling attention to continued US militarization in the hemisphere. We won our lawsuit against the Pentagon when a federal judge ordered them to release the names of thousands of SOA/WHINSEC graduates that have been cloaked in secrecy for close to a decade.
We are on fire! We are unstoppable!
Educate. Activate. Mobilize. See you at the gates this November 22-24!
